Frequently asked questions

Timing:

1. The pre-paid box included in the kit typically takes 5-7 business days to reach the lab.

(The pre-paid box is valid only for domestic orders.)


2. The pre-paid business reply provided in the kit is not traceable, however, you may elect to add tracking or upgrade shipping at your own expense.
3. Once in the vial, samples are valid for 30 days, no matter the temperature.
4. When a sample is received in the lab, typically, it is tested within three business days.
5. Results will follow within two business days of testing completion.

Results reporting:

1. On the form that you mailed in with your sample, you may select to receive results via a secure email, fax, or snail mail.

I received my kit from a health care provider, where are my results?

Contact your health care provider for results, it is Hakala Research's policy to report directly to the health care provider on record.
